Brief position description: INSiGENe Pty Ltd is at the forefront of delivering innovative bioinformatics solutions that empower medical researchers in academia and industry to extract novel insights from complex omics data and accelerate the understanding of disease mechanisms. We are seeking a highly motivated bioinformatician to join our dynamic, interdisciplinary data science team.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and Analysis: Lead the design, analysis, and in-depth interpretation of datasets from a variety of omics platforms (e.g. single-cell genomics, epigenetics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) through single layer analysis and multi-omics integration.
• Innovation: Apply creative bioinformatics solutions to uncover key cellular and molecular events driving disease.
• Collaboration: Work closely with researchers to translate complex data into actionable biological insights.
Qualifications
• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Computer Science, Data Science, Biostatistics, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Proven track record in the analysis of multi-omics and/or single-cell genomics data.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of molecular biology and a keen interest in the pathogenesis of complex diseases and traits.
• Reproducibility: Experience with reproducible workflows is highly desirable.
• Publications: Demonstrated record of publication in reputable scientific journals is preferred.
